They wait 5 weeks to reply to an email, then they say they can't refund a defective product because it's been more than 30 days since I bought it, even though I emailed them within 7 days of purchase. Shame on these crooks. The credit card company will see it my way, I'm sure.
Avoid Linen Chest. Atrocious Customer Service
Poor customer service. Leave tickets withstanding for months. I've been dealing with them trying to get the correct plates since November. They sent me the wrong ones, dealt with customer service extensively on it, eventually ordered new ones on their instruction (even though I was not refunded for the other plates yet), the new plates they sent me, they sent to me in a bag, smashed up. I got those in January and have been asking customer service to send me replacement plates and refund the incorrect plates since (it is now the end of March).
Linen Chest sent me the wrong coffeemaker. To exchange or get a refund, I, a 75 yr. old woman who has been self-isolating for a year, have to take the heavy box by bus to a post office before they will do anything. Can't the person delivering the correct machine take the old one? Apparently not. So, I'm stuck with it. And I won't even mention the live ants I found in the box and in the machine!
Not sure why they are in business if they can't fulfill orders, follow up with virtual messaging, every time I checked status of my order, the date change, I placed the order end of Dec, and as of today the estimated delivery is in MARCH,
Placed an order for a coffee machine online two months ago and have yet to receive anything, or any form of communication from this company.
I’ve reached out countless times for tracking numbers, status etc and haven’t received anything back.
Do not order anything online from Here-you won’t get it.
I understand this is a sanitary crisis and Holidays, but nevertheless, the customer services is a gros zéro to me. They are making a very big sales and it seems they're not even ready to get the orders out.
I ordered 3 days ago and my order (only 2 items) is in treatment ever since.

I love this place! SO refreshing to see a cozy, nostalgic environment with friendly staff who consistently speak to you, free coffee/tea in some locations, a huge variety of home decorations in every theme, colour and style you can imagine, and fair prices. Compared to the imposing behemoth of IKEA, which leans more towards cold minimalism, bland modernity and disposable mass-produced garbage, The Linen Chest is a welcome paradise and my go-to home shopping business. I love that the staff will stop and converse with you, and that the shopping environment is warm, quiet and peaceful. As an aside, I also enjoy the spicy holiday smell in the stores. It's like walking into Christmas every shopping trip. As a big fan of 1970's fashion, I'd say that The Linen Chest is a perfect place for Canadian shoppers looking for that kitsch nostalgia fix that other modern businesses simply can't provide. It's great to have a choice of a more approachable business in this day and age.
